Privacy Policy

The Ropes is operated by 7thlayerlabs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy describes how we handle information when you use our websites, web portal, and mobile app. The Ropes provides restaurant training, communication, scheduling, and operations tools.

Information we collect

Google sign-in and Google user data

If you choose Google sign-in, we receive basic identity information from Google, such as your Google account identifier, email address, name, and profile picture when available. We use this information to authenticate you, create or connect your account, and display your profile. Google sign-in does not give The Ropes access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, or calendars.

We do not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. We only share it as needed to provide and secure the service, comply with law, or as you direct. The Ropes’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

How we use information

We use information to provide the features you request, administer workplace access, deliver training and operational workflows, send service notifications, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, and diagnose reliability issues. Essential cookies and local storage maintain sign-in sessions and preferences.

When information is shared

Your organization’s authorized administrators and colleagues can see information relevant to their roles, such as your profile, assigned work, training records, schedules, and messages. Your employer or organization is responsible for its own workplace data practices.

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, data storage, email, notifications, diagnostics, and AI-assisted features. They receive information needed to perform those functions. When you use an AI feature, your request and relevant workplace context may be processed by an AI service provider to generate a response. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable privacy obligations.

Storage, security, and retention

We use access controls and technical safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure. Information may be processed in countries other than your own by us and our service providers.

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, support your organization’s records, and meet legal, security, and dispute-resolution obligations. Deleting an account may not remove workplace records your organization is entitled or required to retain. Backup copies may remain until their normal retention cycle ends.

Your choices and deletion requests

You can update available profile settings, manage device notification permissions, and contact your organization about workplace records. To request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information or account, email support@theropes.io. We may need to verify your identity and coordinate with your organization. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to object to processing, restrict processing, or receive a copy of your information.

You can revoke Google access through your Google Account connections. Revoking access stops future access through that connection; it does not automatically delete information already held by The Ropes. Contact us to request deletion.

Children

The Ropes is a workplace service and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.

Changes and contact
